Inside Peru Experiences is a boutique small-group travel company specializing in authentic experiences in Cajamarca, Peru. Our goal is to introduce travelers to a side of Peru that many international visitors never experience—combining history, nature, local culture, countryside traditions and personal connections.
Our signature Real Cajamarca Experience is 8 days and 7 nights, giving travelers enough time to explore the region without feeling rushed.
We intentionally keep our groups small, generally 8–12 travelers. Smaller groups allow for a more personal experience, easier transportation and more meaningful interaction with local guides and communities.
The Real Cajamarca Experience is $2,495 per person. Prices are based on the package inclusions described for the selected departure and are subject to the booking terms provided before payment.
Your experience includes 7 nights of accommodations, breakfast and dinner, private scheduled transportation in Cajamarca, Cajamarca airport pickup and drop-off, a licensed local tour guide, entrance fees for scheduled attractions, a dedicated trip itinerary and curated countryside experiences.Featured destinations include Cumbemayo, Granja Porcón, Hacienda La Colpa, Ventanillas de Otuzco, Llacanora, Baños del Inca and historic Cajamarca.

We select clean, comfortable and conveniently located accommodations that complement the experience. Specific lodging information will be provided for each departure before travel.
We describe Inside Peru Experiences as a premium hosted small-group experience rather than a luxury resort vacation. Our focus is on authentic experiences, personal service, local connections, comfortable accommodations and discovering places most international travelers never see.
Some destinations involve walking, stairs, uneven terrain and higher elevations. Cumbemayo and certain countryside excursions can require more walking than city attractions. Travelers should review the itinerary and contact us before booking if they have mobility concerns.
Cajamarca is located high in the Andes at approximately 2,750 meters (about 9,000 feet) above sea level. Some excursions travel to higher elevations. We intentionally design the itinerary to provide time to adjust and encourage travelers to stay hydrated and communicate any concerns.
U.S. travelers should have a valid passport for international travel to Peru. Entry requirements can change, so travelers are responsible for confirming current passport, visa and entry requirements before departure.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Coverage can help protect you against certain unexpected circumstances such as trip cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies and baggage problems, depending on the policy purchased.
A $500 nonrefundable reservation deposit per traveler is required to secure your place. If you are unable to travel as scheduled, the deposit may be transferred to another eligible Inside Peru Experiences departure, subject to availability and our transfer policy.
The final payment schedule will be stated in your booking agreement and departure information. Travelers will know all applicable payment deadlines before completing their reservation.
If a departure must be canceled by Inside Peru Experiences, travelers will be contacted promptly and the options available under the applicable booking terms will be explained. We recommend avoiding very specific refund promises on the website until your final Terms & Conditions are completed.
Absolutely. Solo travelers are welcome. Small-group travel can be an excellent way to experience Peru while enjoying the companionship and added support of traveling with a limited group.
Yes. Couples, friends and family members are welcome to travel together. Let us know when booking if you are traveling with someone else so accommodation arrangements can be coordinated.
We recommend comfortable walking shoes, layered clothing, sun protection, a light rain jacket, reusable water bottle and a small day bag. Because temperatures can change throughout the day in the Andes, layers are especially useful. A more detailed packing guide will be provided before departure.
